[Equihunter] A very hot sunny Sunday afternoon saw a really successful day for Team Equihunter this Sunday. Our team rider Libby Newman came in first twice in the same afternoon. Well done to Libby.

With temperature soaring to 30 degrees locally and with no wind or clouds to provide any respite, jumping conditions were challenging for both horses and riders at the Felbridge Showground.
The young rider entered two classes, Class 6, the Blue Chip Feed Balancer Pony Newcomers 1st Round and then, Class 7, the Squib Demolition Pony Foxhunter 1st Round … and we are pleased to say that it was a very successful day when Libby gained a first place at both heights.
When asked what was the most challenging part of the competition was Libby said that she was most concerned about the ponies getting overheated and made sure that there was plenty of water available for them straight after the competition came to a close.
A lot of hard work and training has gone into making this day such a success and that
It was a late finish on the day for both seniors and juniors as jumping was still progressing well into the early evening, but with the cloudless sky continuing late into the day, some riders took full advantage of the the slightly cooler eveningair temperatures to continue with the more demanding competition classes.
