The Arena benefits from many high strength features such as a full-size steel cab wall bulkhead and an ultra-thick bottom ramp door that is manufactured with box section aluminium, it’s almost 3 inches thick and is braced to the body with a heavy-duty stainless steel full-width piano hinge. We also use hi-grip rubber matting and fit lateral aluminium anti-slip struts.
In the horse area, the floor is manufactured using aluminium with a strong rubber one-piece rubber matting on top. The wheel arch covers benefit from a hot sprayed rubber coating that adds strength and also has a sound deadening quality for those moments when impatient horses paw the arches.
A full-length aluminium strengthening strut is attached to the offside wall just above the EVA lined kick boards. We fit a doubled-skinned insulated roof and have added high-intensity LED lights that offer full illumination of the tramp when loading and unloading at night. Automatic night lights (low lighting) are fitted and turn when the vehicle lights are lit.
The top ramp door rises on powerful gas rams and rests open at a high angle of attack to endeavour not to spook nervous horses. A 4-way roof vent offers a high level of ventilation in conjunction with large tinted opening bonded windows adjacent to both stall ends.
We also fit an important safety feature, an “open top door” alarm to alert you in case of non-closure before setting off.
The two-part partition is braced with a 3-inch tubular aluminium frame to both partition sections. We have also fitted drain holes. A large storage area is available in the luton cab area, this also features a locking hatch door. There is a twin camera CCTV system with both horse area and reversing cameras.
